and relax...

Yoda Nidra

Yoga Nidra is also known as yogic sleep. It is a powerful technique which enables us to learn to relax consciously and deeply – a systematic method for inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

The sessions last for one hour. Each session begins with some discussion before participants settle for the guided relaxation. If you wish to join a session, details and links are shared on the weekly newsletter. All you have to do is find somewhere warm and comfortable, away from any distractions, with cushions and blankets and we will do the rest

Sleep Workshops

 Matthew Walker in his book ‘Why we sleep’ (2017), describes the lack of sleep which many people describe nowadays as the "silent sleep loss epidemic".

On many occasions people who have joined our yoga or meditation sessions have shared their concerns about their difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.

It's a problem experienced by many. In response to this we have developed a series of sleep workshops, which will be delivered online.

These sessions will include;
● Recent research about the benefits of sleep and why this seems to be a problem for so many people.
● The physical, and emotional benefits of good sleep and a range of tips and techniques which will enable participants to make some positive changes to improve the quality of their sleep.
● The sessions will also share a range of relaxation techniques.

Journaling & Scribing

As part of our Mindfulness and Meditation programme for health and wellbeing we develop the idea of a ‘meditation diary’ or journal.  The benefits of  journaling for mental health continue to be researched but it clear that there is increasing evidence about how the simple practice can improve various aspects of well-being and overall quality of life,  Studies have shown that engaging in regular journaling can help reduce stress , manage anxiety and depression, enhance self awareness, promote emotional regulation and strengthen resilience.

To compliment our Meditation and Mindfulness programme we have developed a short online programme to explore this very valuable practice.
